SRINAGAR, Oct 29: The Court of Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Sanjay Gupta has granted interim bail on pre-arrest to Advocate Deepika Singh Rajawat in FIR registered against her for uploading a picture on social media with regard to increase in rape cases and hurting the religious sentiments of a particular group.
Court directed that in the event of arrest of the applicant-Rajawat in the FIR No. 174 under Sections 294, 295-A and 505-B of Indian Penal Code, she shall be enlarged on interim bail till next date of hearing which is on 5.11.2020. Applicant has also been directed to furnish surety and personal bond to the tune of Rs 50000 to the satisfaction of the Investigating Officer.
Applicant has been asked to furnish the bail application to the public prosecutor for getting the report from the concerned police station and submitting the objections to the application. “Petitioner is however, directed to cooperate with the investigation and appear before the IO as and when required”, reads the order .
