Court Committee to collect COVID-19 +ve cases’ contact list

Srinagar, July 11: The Principal District and Sessions Judge Srinagar today constituted five member committee in order to collect the list of contacts of two Judicial Officers and a lawyer who yesterday tested positive for COVID-19.
The committee has been asked to submit the consolidated list of contacts to the office of PDJ Srinagar on July 14 in order to take immediate necessary steps to put those contacts in Home or Administrative quarantine after COVID-19 testing.
The five member committee as constituted for collection of contact tracing consists of 4th Additional District and Sessions Judge Srinagar, 1st Additional District & Sessions Judge Srinagar, Secretary District Legal Services Authority Srinagar, Special Mobile Magistrate Srinagar and 3rd Additional Munsiff Srinagar.
The contacts with two judicial officers and a lawyer shall be put under home or administrative quarantine in coordination with Chief Medical Officer Srinagar. PDJ has asked all the judicial officers, lawyers and allied court staff to cooperate with the committee in contact tracing.
“This step has been taken to prevent the spread of COVID-19 as per the guidelines issued by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir as well as Ministry of Health Government of India from time to time”, read the order of PDJ Srinagar.
The formation of the committee has been brought to the notice of Registrar General of High Court, Principal Secretary to Chief justice, Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Secretary to Administrative Judge for Srinagar and other concerned.
Meantime, the District Court Srinagar has been closed for today for the purposes of sanitization and fumigation of the court complex.
