SRINAGAR, July 11: J&K People’s Conference senior Vice President, Abdul Gani Vakil today asked the BJP led Government at the Centre to come clear on plan about the future of J&K.
In a handout Vakil stated that it has been a year that the political process in J&K has been stopped and most of the mainstream leaders continue to remain under house arrest for none of their offence.
He said, “This is surprising that till today you have not bothered to talk to the mainstream leaders who had been all along working for the national interest and many leaders and workers of different political parties even sacrificed their lives too but it is unfortunate that you are not valuing it.”
“It has been a year since the abrogation of Article 370. There is no word from the current regime if they have any plan to restore political process in J&K. If the situation remains same the people on large scale will get distanced from mainstream which would not be in the interest of nation,” Vakil maintained.
