JAMMU, Apr 28: RS Pura police have registered counter FIRs against Ex-MLA Dr Gagan Bhagat and Sarpanch Seema Devi after they entered into altercation during inauguration of a power transformer.
As per police sources, a function was organized for the installation of a power transformer, but an altercation took place between Bhagat and Seema Devi, which later turned into minor scuffle. In the scuffle, both of them received minor injuries.
After getting information, police team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Chanchal Singh rushed to the spot and tried to pacify both.
Dr Bhagat claimed that he got the transformer sanctioned from his Constituency Development Funds (CDF), while Sarpanch Seema Devi maintained that she arranged the transformer of her own.
Later, on the written complaints of Dr Bhagat and Seema Devi, counter FIRs under relevant sections were registered at RS Pura Police Station and investigation was taken up.
