Councillor starts drain work in Ward 20

JAMMU, July 19: JMC Corporator Rahul Kumar started the drain work at Auqaf Market in Ward 20, here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Rahul Kumar said that the development works in Jammu had been adversely affected during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic as a result of which substantial number of drains and lanes were presently lying in a dilapidated condition, causing great inconvenience to the inhabitants.
“Now that the situation has improved to a great extent with opening of various activities, developmental works across Jammu will be expedited and overall development of every area shall be ensured in this ward by taking up more works in a phased manner,” he added.
The work with estimated cost of Rs two lakhs was started in the presence of Ward president Satbir Singh, Mandal secretary Rachit Khosla, District executive members Sandeep Gupta, Rajesh Khullar, Vijay Verma and Joginder Singh besides a large number of residents of the area.
