Intermittent rains drench Kashmir parts

Srinagar, July 19: The light rains that drenched parts of Kashmir today brought considerable relief from scorching heat even as the MeT predicted more rainfall till July 21.
With the rainfall, the weatherman said that the day temperature in Srinagar was settled at 27.3 degrees Celsius. There was a further respite in the heatwave after a brief rainfall in the evening.
In its advisory, the MeT has issued warning of possible flash floods across J&K in the next few days.
The officials said that while there is no forecast for continuous, widespread precipitation, but the intermittent, scattered rains are expected to lash Kashmir in the coming days.
They said that the present weather system is expected to improve after July 21.
