Corruption in country

Corruption in country
Sir,
We are glad that the retiring President of India has said that corruption is the enemy of good Government. She has not said anything new. She has only repeated the universal truth. But, unfortunately, her Government does not believe in what she said. Its stark indifference to the urgency of the matter is now not hidden from the general public.
The lethargic way in which the Government endavoured to bring the Lokpal Bill before Parliament and get it passed is known to all of us. Every possible excuse was offered to delay its passing. At the moment we want someone in the Government the like of Sardar Patel and Lal Bahadur Shastri which the country needs acutely. The people at the helm of affairs have to be sensitive and not thick skinned.

Yours etc…
