SRINAGAR, July 2: In a bizarre video that went viral on social networking site, a teacher from Wagat village of Handwara district of Kupwara is seen threatening to slaughter a minor student with an axe, leaving people shocked. Police registered a case and started investigations.
A video has gone viral on social networking sites in which a teacher from Bright Future Education Institute in Wagat Handwara wearing Pheran and cap could be seen beating a ten-year-old student constantly in an inhuman manner with a sharp-edged axe.
A horrifying incident of corporal punishment has been intentionally captured on camera.
In the video, a student is lying down and his teacher is shockingly threatening him to slaughter for some unknown reasons while asking other students to close their eyes.
Meanwhile, the locals of the area have demanded stern action against the teacher, saying that it will have a negative impact on the mindset of minor students.
A police spokesman said there this evening that they have taken cognizance of the incident and case (FIR No. 167/2019) has been registered in Police Station Handwara. “Individuals who are beleived to have knowledge about the incident are being questioned. Legal action has been initiated”, the spokesman said.
