NEW DELHI, Dec 26: In range-bound movements, copper futures traded a shade higher today largely on the back of pick up in spot demand.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in April rose by 35 paise, or 0.08 per cent to Rs 441 per kg in a turnover of 99 lots.
The metal for February contract up by 30 paise, or 0.07 per cent to Rs 436.60 per kg in a turnover of 1,836 lots.
Analysts attributed rise in copper prices at futures trade to a pick-up in demand at the spot markets but absence of global cues, as the London Metal Exchange (LME) is closed today for ‘Boxing Day’, capped the gains. (PTI)
