POONCH, Aug 29: A Police Constable has been suspended by the SSP Poonch after his service rifle along with three magazines went missing from his barrack in District Police Lines, Poonch.
Official sources said that Constable Farooq Ahmed, deployed as PSO with the DSP DAR Poonch, Mohan Lal, told his senior that he kept his gun along with three magazines in his barrack in the DPL and it went mysteriously missing. He claimed that some body has stolen his service weapon (AK-47) with in the complex. While the Constable was placed under suspension late last evening, an inquiry into the matter has been initiated.
