JAMMU, Aug 27: Principal Sessions Judge Rajouri Jaffer Hussain Beigh has acquitted a cop namely Mehboob Qadir, son of Ghulam Qadir of Darha, who was facing trial in NDPSA case for the last five years as prosecution has not succeeded in proving the guilt of the accused.
“When there is no direct evidence of the prosecution on record that the articles were recovered from the accused person, there is no need to discuss the evidence of prosecution witness who has brought the weighing machine and weighed the articles or resealing of packets”, the court said.
