JAMMU, June 2: A cop of Indian Reserve Police (IRP) today allegedly made an abortive attempt on his life by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence in Marh area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesman, Constable Gharu Ram (30) son of Munshi Ram, resident of Marh, who is presently posted at IRP 10th Battalion, Gulshan Ground, Jammu, allegedly consumed some poisonous substance at his residence.
He said the cop was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where his condition was stated to be stable. However, the concerned police said that they have no such information.
