JAMMU, June 7: J&K BJP president and Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), Sat Sharma (CA) reviewed the activities and organizational programmes of the party’s Cooperative Cell during a meeting held at the Party Headquarters, here, today.
The meeting was attended by BJP Cells in charge, Ved Sharma, Cooperative Cell convener, Ankush Mahajan, co-convenors, K.L. Sharma, Ashok Sambyal, Karunesh Gupta, and other office bearers of the Cell from across Jammu and Kashmir.
Sat Sharma, while addressing the meeting, emphasized the crucial role played by cooperative institutions in strengthening society and promoting economic self-reliance. He said that cooperative societies serve as an effective medium for generating employment opportunities, particularly for the needy and economically weaker sections. He added that the cooperative sector acts as an important bridge between the Government and the people, ensuring that welfare schemes and developmental initiatives reach every section of society efficiently.
Sat Sharma stressed that the BJP Cooperative Cell must work proactively to spread awareness about various Government schemes and motivate people to take advantage of opportunities available through the cooperative movement. He said that the vision of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is to empower every citizen through inclusive growth and community participation, and cooperatives have a significant role in achieving that objective.
Speaking on the occasion, Ved Sharma reviewed the work carried out by the Cooperative Cell during the last month and appreciated the efforts of its members. He also briefed the participants about the programmes being organized under the nationwide campaign marking “12 Saal Bemisaal – 12 years of trust, development and public welfare” under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He emphasized the need to maximize public participation in every programme so that the achievements and welfare initiatives of the Government reach the grassroots level.
Ankush Mahajan, convener of the BJP Cooperative Cell, conducted the proceedings of the meeting and assured the leadership that the Cell would work with full dedication to implement the party programmes at every level.
