JAMMU, June 5: Bhartiya Mazdoor Sangh (BMS) has flayed district administration of Samba for acquiring the 50 bedded ESIC Model Hospital at Bari Brahmana as designated hospital for COVID-19 patients, ignoring the plights of more than 50 thousands industrial workers and their dependents who are fully dependent on the ESIC Hospital.
In a handout BMS claimed that ESIC Hospital is not funded by the Government and is fully funded by the contributions from workers and employers.
“Even Employers Association has objected converting ESIC Model Hospital to Covid Hospital,” BMS leader Harbans Choudhary stated in the handout making an appeal to J&K LG, Girish Chandra Murmu, his Adviser, Farooq Khan and Secretary to Government, Sourab Bhagat to give directions to the administration to shift Corona positive patients from ESIC Hospital to some other government designated Covid Hospital.
