JAMMU, June 5: Flash flood after cloud burst in Dingal area of district Poonch caused damage to a car and two bikes while flooded water entered two houses in the area.
Reports said that Poonch, Rajouri and parts of Reasi and Udhampur experienced rain during this afternoon. Due to sudden cloudburst amidst thunder storm at Dingla village in Poonch area, water entered two houses causing damage to the property while two bikes and a car of the villagers were washed away. But later, these vehicles were salvaged by the villagers. House of Rafiq Chisti suffered much damage. Click here to watch video
Later, DC Poonch Rahul Yadav and some senior police officials visited the area to take stock of situation. The road was also damagaed due to flash flood.
Due to rain, the flood water entered several shops at Mendhar town. The goods of the traders were damaged with it.
Sources said Rajouri, Mahore-Gool and parts of Ramban and Udhampur also witnerssed rain during this afternoon. With this, sharp fall in temperature has been witnessed in the region.
Jammu -Srinagar National Highway was blocked after land slides at Morh Ghori near Ramban this evening, however the highway was restored after an hour, the official sources said.
