JAMMU, Oct 21: High Court has said that Police may go ahead with its investigation in the FIR registered against Sheen Finance and Investment India Limited and its functionaries involved in the commission of offences.
This order has been passed in a petition filed by Sheen Finance and Investment India Ltd through its Managing Director Naseeb Singh Pawar against State through Chief Secretary, Financial Commissioner, Home Department, Director General of Police and SSP Crime Branch, Jammu.
After hearing counsels for the petitioners and respondents, Justice J P Singh said, “the petition is adjourned at the request of petitioner’s counsel, who seeks time to justify the maintainability of the petition”.
“Meanwhile, the police may go ahead with its investigation in the FIR(s) already registered against the petitioner-Sheen Finance and Investment India Limited and its functionaries involved in the commission of offences”, Justice J P Singh said, adding “status quo order dated October 28, 2009 shall stand modified accordingly”.
The Registry was directed to list the petition in November 2012.
