JAMMU, Sept 16: Accusing Mufti Sayeed-led State Government for `zero delivery’ on ground, Pradesh Congress Committee has alleged that PDP-BJP Coalition has failed to fulfill commitment made with the people during elections.
In a press statement, PCC chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma (Ex- MLC) has said that the State Government has failed to fulfill a single commitment so far and there is zero delivery on the ground, during more than six months of its rule.
Mr Sharma said that the present coalition is working on the theory of divide and rule and has no road map for the equitable and harmonious development of the State. The coalition partners are pulling the strings of the Government in opposite directions, in order to divert the attention of the people from the real issues and governance deficit.
The PCC leader also conducted tour of some parts of Sunderbani-Nowshera areas and took stock of the problems of the people. He regretted that all the developmental works are stand still and the problems of the people are increasing day by day, on account of power, water, poor connectivity, dilapidated roads and healthcare.
He said that Government has failed to provide free ration to all those who suffered during the last floods and incessant rains and the farmers have suffered again during the recent hailstorms to the maize crops in most parts. He demanded assessment of damage to the crops and provision of free ration to them.
Mr Sharma regretted the failure of the Government to provide regular salary to the SSA teachers for the last six months. He also extended full support to agitating daily wagers, CP and need based workers who are on dharna in support of their demands and urged the Government to solve their issues.
He questioned the Government move to reduce the grading and amount of the sanctioned projects of upgradation of Sub-District Hospital Sunderbani and Nowshera and opposed this move. He also criticized the move to shift the setting up of proposed GMC Hospital Rajouri, to an unsuitable place away from district headquarters and the highway. He said it will deprive the most people of twin districts especially the Nowshera-Sunderbani of this proposed facility. He demanded immediate review of this decision to setup this GMC project at District headquarters near Rajouri-Poonch highway.
