VIJAYPUR, Aug 13: Former Minister and newly appointed District Samba Congress President, Manjit Singh has appealed to the people to support Congress party to re-establish peace and progress in Jammu and Kashmir which was lost during the previous government led by BJP.
Addressing Congress leaders and workers at village Palatan Morah Rajpur Koller near here Manjit Singh said that people have come to know about the real face of BJP only when it ruled in Jammu and Kashmir and failed to keep its promises.
He said that BJP never asked the industrialists in Jammu to employee locals.
He further said, when he was a Minister, he ensured that industrialists give more employment to the locals.
“Time has come when people should raise their voice against the injustice meted out to the unemployed youth and labour class of Jammu which is facing injustice from industrialists who have established their units on the land given to them by the locals,” he said.
He said that labourers from other states are given jobs and the locals are facing discrimination.
Manjit Singh also said that people should strengthen Congress party so that prosperity can be restored in Jammu and Kashmir and due share is given to Jammuities.
On this occasion 18 youth joined Congress in the presence of Manjit Singh.
