Cong to take out ‘Samvidhan Bachao Padayatra’ on Jan 18

JAMMU, Jan. 15: Congress has decided to take out `Samvidhan Bachao Rashtriya Padayatra’ from Gandhi Chowk, Satwari to Ambedkar Chowk, Gandhinagar Jammu on January 18.
This was announced here today by JKPCC working presidents Tara Chand and Raman Bhalla in an impressive meeting of the senior leaders of PCC , DCC and frontal wings of the party, held at party office Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion they said that Congress remains unwavering in its demand for the resignation of Home Minister Amit Shah and strongly condemns the attempts to erode social justice and equality, which are the fundamental pillars of Ambedkar’s vision for India. They said Congress had launched the Dr Ambedkar Samman Saptah to honour Ambedkar’s contribution and to highlight the present threats to his legacy and constitutional principles.
To take forward this movement, Congress has decided to launch the “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan Abhiyan.” This campaign is aimed at honouring and protecting the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, Dr BR Ambedkar and the values enshrined in our Constitution.
Given the urgency to preserve, protect and promote the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi and BR Ambedkar as well as the Constitution, they announced that the congress party in J&K shall launch a massive outreach campaign called the `Samvidhan Bachao Rashtriya Padayatra’.
They appealed to the party workers at all levels to reach at Gandhi Chowk, Satwari on Jan 18 at 11.00 AM in strength to participate in the Yatra.
