Cong to go on offensive, hold month long Satyagreh

JAMMU, Mar 31: Congress today  decided to go offensive and chalked out a detailed strategy to hold a  month long, ‘ Jai Bharat Satyagreh’ from  block in all districts of Jammu and Kashmir, on the issue of disqualification of Rahul Gandhi and politics of vendetta by the Modi led BJP regime.
As per directive of AICC, a  meeting of  senior PCC leaders, ex-legislators, DCC presidents, frontal heads, councilors, Block presidents and others, was held at PCC headquarters under the chairmanship of PCC president Vikar Rasool Wani, attended by several senior leaders including, working president  Raman Bhalla, Ex-DyCM  Tara Chand, former minister Mula Ram, Ravinder Sharma, Yogesh Sawhney, Balwan Singh, Manmohan Singh, Balbir Singh,  Rajnish Sharma, TS Bajwa, Hari Singh Chib, Shabir Ahmed Khan, Gurbachan Kumari Rana, Indu Pawar, Ved Mahajan,  Shahnawaj Choudhary,  Kuldeep Raj Verma,  KC Bhagat, Pankaj Dogra, Rajesh Sadhotra, Sheikh Mujeeb, Babal Gupta , Suresh Dogra, Karan Bhagat, Vijay Sharma, Rajveer Singh and others.
Briefing the meeting the PCC chief apprised the leaders from various districts about the month long schedule of Satyagreh at all constituency and Block levels and asked all DCC presidents to chalk out detailed programme in consultation with senior leaders and Block presidents in the district, from Sunday onwards to expose the Modi Govt and BJP on the issue of Rahul Gandhi’s disqualification and other policies of suppression and vendetta against  opposition especially  Rahul Gandhi and Congress party leaders.
He apprised the meeting he said that the Congress party shall not take it lying low, the way Modi Govt and BJP is trying to crush the voice of opposition and weakening the democracy in the Country. The Modi Govt wants opposition Mukt Bharat and Congress Mukt Bharat, whereas these slogans are anti-democracy. It shows the mindset of BJP which wants to retain power by hook and crook.
As per AICC directive, at some stage of Satyagreh, all like minded opposition parties shall be associated. The meeting discussed the schedule of programs in each District and Block levels, which shall be coordinated by senior PCC leaders and monitored by AICC through PCC at State/HQ levels.
All DCC presidents and Block heads shall actively  organize Satyagreh in their respective areas, to be attended by senior leaders deputed to co-ordinate the districts and report to PCC and AICC.
