Our Govt instilled fear among terror perpetrators

JAMMU, Apr 12: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today launched frontal attack on the Congress saying the party was supporting those, who want to break Jammu and Kashmir and were demanding two Prime Ministers for the country and declared that the people won’t allow their designs to succeed.
Modi said the Congress wants to remove Army from Jammu and Kashmir and snatch the protection granted to them under law for carrying out operations against the militants.
The Prime Minister during his election campaign rallies today in different States, said the people have no hopes from the Congress now as it was supporting the two parties (a reference towards National Conference and People’s Democratic Party), which were calling for breaking India and having two Prime Ministers in the country.
“Thousands of jawans have sacrificed their lives to protect Jammu and Kashmir. Will you allow Kashmir to break from India and have separate Prime Minister? The Congress is supporting the political party, which has been demanding separate Prime Minister for Kashmir,” he said.
Worthwhile to mention here that National Conference vice president and former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had recently called for separate Prime Minister for Jammu and Kashmir, a demand that drew strong reaction from top BJP leadership.
Referring to Congress manifesto, Modi said the Congress wants removal of Army from Jammu and Kashmir and snatch special rights granted to security forces. “Is it acceptable to the people? Will first time voters accept this”? he asked.
He also took a dig at Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) president and former Union Minister Sharad Pawar saying his party has first word ‘Rashtrawadi’ (nationalist) but has aligned with those, who were supporting the demand for two Prime Ministers in the country. He reminded Pawar that he had parted ways with Congress on the issue of nationalism and wanted to know from him, his stand on Jammu and Kashmir.
Charging the Congress with adopting “weak policies” during 10 years of their UPA Government, the Prime Minister said they (the Congress) had compromised with national security.
“If the country is safe and secure, only then interests and future of the people can be safe. Today entire country is speaking in one language. It was because of the people’s support, I have been able to take bold decisions,” Modi said.
He reiterated that it was now ‘New India’, which has killed the militants deep inside their house, a reference to air strike by the Indian Air Force (IAF) at Balakote in Pakistan in which number of Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists were believed to be killed.
Modi said in the last five years, people have seen that his Government is a strong regime which takes decisions.
“You have seen Chowkidar’s Government which is strong and takes decisions. Scams and decision-making delays were the order of the day during the remote-controlled Government (UPA) earlier,” Modi said.
“During the UPA rule, bomb blasts were frequent in which farmers, middle class people and traders were killed. Blasts happened in trains, buses and stations. But under the Chowkidar’s rule, where are the bomb blasts?” he asked.
“This is because the Chowkidar has instilled fear in minds of the terror perpetrators that even a single mistake would prove costly for them. The Chowkidar will find them from hell and punish them,” Modi said.
Modi asked if people agree with his policy of killing terrorists by going into their territory them. He said the earlier Government looked weak “in front of Pakistan and rest of the world”.
“Our Army wanted to take revenge but the (then) Government kept quiet. This Chowkidar gave permission (to Army) to kill terrorists by going inside their territory. Are you happy with this strong Government”? he asked.
