Cong resents delay in Siot grid station commissioning

JAMMU, July 3: Senior Congress leaders including PCC vice president and former minister Raman Bhalla, chief spokesperson Ravinder Sharma, former Minister Shabir Ahmed Khan and former MLA Kalakote Ashok Sharma have taken strong exception to the delay in the commissioning of grid station at Siot, as a result people of entire belt of Sunderbani, Nowshera and Kalakote area are badly suffering in this scorching heat due to very low voltage adversely affecting the entire water supply system.
The senior leaders have said that they repeatedly brought it to the notice of power authorities but the delay has occurred due to callous attitude of the authorities. The people are rightly agitated, as the entire belt is badly suffering, as the problem has aggravated during past few months. The voltage is very low and even the fans do not work properly and inventors do not get charged. The Govt is responsible for the delay and undue sufferings of the people of the area.
A delegation of senior Congress leaders met the Chief Engineer PDD early this week also and stressed for early commissioning of the grid station.
The Congress has served ultimatum to the Govt to commission the station immediately and also take other necessary steps to improve the worst power situation in Sunderbani-Nowshera, Kalakote areas immediately otherwise joint struggle shall be launched.
