Cong leader tours Vijaypur villages

VIJAYPUR, Nov 2: Kick-starting the election campaign, senior Congress leader and member J&K PCC, Arun Sharma conducted a tour of various villages of Vijaypur Assembly constituency and addressed a series of public meetings at Birpur, Koular, Takar, Data Talab, Smailpur, Rarian, Gho Brahmana, Raika Labana, Raika Jogian and Vijaypur.
While addressing the public meetings, Arun Sharma highlighted the policies and programmes of Congress party for welfare of common masses, particularly deprived sections of the society. He stressed that only Congress can provide a stable and secular Government in Jammu and Kashmir for ensuring equitable development of all three regions of the State.
The Congress leader also cautioned people from the communal forces, which were hell bent to divide people on religious and regional lines for vote bank politics. Congress is the only secular party in Jammu & Kashmir and Ghulam Nabi Azad is the most suitable person as the Chief Minister, he said and appealed people to vote and support the party in Assembly elections.
Arun Sharma also interacted with the villagers who highlighted several issues regarding Assembly elections vis-à-vis developmental works. They assured their full support to Arun Sharma because of his hard work, sincerity and loyalty towards the Congress party throughout his political career of two decades.
