JAMMU, Nov 2: Police today arrested a motorcyclist and recovered 50 pouches of illicit liquor from Jourian area, falling under the jurisdiction of Akhnoor police station.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Akhnoor police station laid a naka at Jourian and intercepted a motorcycle bearing number JK02BF-0776.
During checking, police recovered 50 pouches of illicit liquor and arrested the motorcyclist, who has been identified as Joginder Paul, son of Ram Ditta of Dhok Khalsa, Jourian.
A case under FIR number 222/14 under Section 48-A Excise Act at Akhnoor police station and investigation started.
