SRINAGAR, July 25: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) leader Muneer Ahmad Mir today blamed Govt for ignoring people in Lolab, especially residing in far-flung areas on account of development and other required facilities.
Mir also blamed those who earlier represented Lolab in State Legislature, saying they were responsible for backwardness of the people.
During his visit to Warnov and other areas in Lolab (Kupwara), Pradesh Congress leader said that people of Lolab especially those living in far-flung area  in Kupwara district feel abandoned, as that those, whom they got elected to State Legislature failed them miserably  ironically after seeking votes, they never looked back rather they enjoyed power and worked for  their blue eyed persons.
People of Lolab feel neglected on account of development, education, medical facilities, roads, electricity, during election times, they get VIP treatment by the politicians, who even treat them as their own sons and daughters, but after getting elected, they neither listen to people’s voice nor address their developmental needs, which was very unfortunate, Congress leader said.
He said the previous Legislators and present dispensation were fully responsible for the restlessness amongst the people. Mir added and said Govt must come forward with a developmental plan for far-flung area, who did not even have doctors, teachers, roads for their movement and other required facilities, Mir added.
He appealed the LG to personally look into the grievances of people in Lolab and other far flung areas in Kupwara district and take effective measures for their empowerment, besides address their developmental needs, on war footing basis to ensure that they did not feel abandoned.
On this occasion dozens of workers of NC and PDP from Warnov area of Lolab  joined Congress party, expressing their full faith in the policy and programmes of Congress Party.
