UDHAMPUR, Sept 5: On the request of Mahila Congress district President, Preeti Khajuria, DRM Railway visited Cheery Sail road and assured early repair of the road.
Preeti Khajuria, along with Congress District Working President Ashwani Khajuria met with DRM Railways and apprised her about many problems of Udhampur Railway Station. They apprised the DRM about bad condition of Cheery Sail road near Railway Station. Preeti Khajuria said that she had informed the Railway Department in writing about the bad condition of this road many times, but no action was taken till date with the result condition of the road was worsening with each day.
“This road of Railways plays a very important role and being used by thousands of people from adjoining Panchayats. Thousands of heavy and light motor vehicles keep plying on this road from different areas, but the condition of this railway road is extremely bad,” Congress leader explained.
After visiting the spot, DRM admitted that the road was in very bad condition and assured getting it repaired on priority.
