Cong, Ind Councilors demand special meeting of JMC

JAMMU, Sept 13: Congress and other Independent Councilors of JMC have decided to move a requisition seeking immediate convening of the special meeting of the Corporation.
A handout of JKPCC stated that serious allegations of corruption were raised in the last JMC meeting leading to its adjournment by the Mayor without addressing the issue and without announcing the time and date of next meeting.
In the handout Ch Dwarka Nath, Chief Whip of Congress Councilors stated that a special meeting has to be convened under rule, if one fourth the of the Councilors submit a requisition for that.
Congress Councilors have demanded a high level probe into the corruption allegations.
