While speaking to media persons here today, Choudhary said that they (Cong) were against this bill, and we will oppose this bill as people suffer with it. She added that Jammu is in developing stage people hardly get basic facilities how will they be able to give property tax. Govt should reconsider this decision. She said that this is not the first time that this bill has been forced, we tried it not to be implemented earlier, but now the Government is going to implement this.
Ritu Choudhary added that property tax had been forced on people and we strongly oppose this. In last two months this issue was raised in house and Jammu Mayor assured us that this bill will not be implemented in J&K but the Govt has made it official now and people are left with no option. There is 0 % development in other things, we are requesting LG Govt to withdraw this notification because it’s hard for people of Jammu to pay this tax.
