Cong celebrates B’day of Rahul Gandhi

JAMMU, June 19: J&K Pradesh Youth Congress  today  celebrated the birthday of their leader and  AICC  vice president  Rahul Gandhi in a unique way.
The Youth Congress activists led by  Shishpal Singh, PYC Secretary & I/C J&K PYC, apart from organising a cake cutting ceremony,  today planted saplings in the different public parks of the area, accompanied by Pranav Shagotra, president J&K PYC,  Satish Sharma,  general secretary PYC,  Chetan Wanchoo PYC spokesperson and others.
While extending birthday wish to Rahul Gandhi, youth activists took  pledge to strengthen the party. Speaking on the occasion at Durga Nagar here, PYC president  Hoshiar Singh said that Gandhi family has contributed a lot for the nation and now Rahul Gandhi is also following the same footsteps. He said Rahul Gandhi has only one aim to make the Youth stronger and motivate them to serve the country.
Pradesh Congress Committee activists at  RS Pura also celebrated the 47th birthday of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi under the leadership of its PCC secretary Pawan Raina.
Drumbeats, slogans and the deafening noise of firecrackers brought liveliness  outside the Congress Party office at R S Pura. The Congress activists also organised programmes in the constituency to celebrate his birthday.
The Congress activists also distributed sweets on the occasion.
They further prayed for the long and healthy life of  Rahul Gandhi.  Congress leader also distributed free ration among the needy and poor people.
