KATHUA, Sept 27: The activists of Congress Party held a protest demonstration in front of DC Office here and also blocked the Kathua-Kalibari road for 25 minutes in protest against the scarcity of ration at ration depots in the district.
The protesters raising slogans against the CAPD Department alleged that the people were facing acute scarcity of ration due to wrong policies of the Government. They said when authorities are approached they intimate that truck loads of ration has been dispatched to all depots and when consumers go to purchase the same at ration depots they return empty hands due to non availability of the ration.
The protesters warned to intensify agitation incase the ration was not made available within two days.
Later a delegation of the Congress activists also met Assistant Director Food and ADC Revenue and apprised them of the problems being faced by the people due to non availability of ration.
