DODA, Oct 31: Minister for R&B and senior Congress leader Abdul Majid Wani today said that Congress is the only party which is acceptable to the people of all the three regions of the State.
Addressing workers’ rally in Marmat area of Doda constituency, Mr Wani said that Congress party is the only party in the J&K which is acceptable to the people of all the three regions. It has mass base in all the pockets of the State because it is based on the secular ideology. He said that any approach or ideology contrary to the concept of pluralistic society would be dangerous to the unity and integrity of this State.
Mr Wani further pointed out that most of the other political parties in this State have restricted support based on either religion or region only. This time, Congress party shall definitely form next Government in the State. He claimed that Congress would have absolute majority in the Legislature because of its secular approach and remarkable development of the State in every sphere.
He asked the party workers to vigorously campaign highlighting the achievements of the UPA-Ist and UPA-II which had brought revolutionary legislations like MGNREGA, NRHM, RTI, Right to Food, Right to Work, Right to Education etc and taken care of the interest of each and every section of society. Wani said that State had witnessed a golden era of growth and development when Ghulam Nabi Azad served as its Chief Minister. Today the people of this State have been provided with a great opportunity to give befitting reply to all the divisive forces by polling their votes in favour of Congress Party candidates all over the State.
