Condemnations pour in over killing of policemen

JAMMU, Feb 19: Condemnations poured in over killing of two policemen by a terrorist in Baghat area of Srinagar and another in Beerwah area during encounter today.
Apni Party President Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari condemned the Baghat-Srinagar attack in which two policemen Suhail Ahmad and Mohammad Yusuf were killed.
In a statement issued here, Bukhari termed the attack as barbaric and inhuman. “Violence is not a solution but a huge impediment in peace and progress of any society. In any of its manifestations, violent extremism is unacceptable, regardless of political, ideological or religious motivations,” Bukhari added.
While extending heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, Bukhari prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls and courage to their families to bear this irretrievable loss.
Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) also condemned the militant attack on police personnel in Baghat area of Srinagar leading to the loss of two police personnel. JKPCC also condemned the killing of SPO namely Altaf Ahmad during Berwah encounter leaving another cop injured and expressed serious concern over the current situation in valley. JKPCC also prayed for eternal peace to slain cops and speedy recovery of injured cop.
“The killing of policemen in Baghat area of Srinagar is condemnable and unfortunate. Violence has no place in civilized society. There is an urgent need to put an end to these killing”, CPI (M) said in a statement. CPI (M) expressed heartfelt sympathies with the families of killed policemen.
The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference condemned the killing of two policemen at Baghat, Srinagar terming the attack reprehensible saying such dastardly acts of violence serve no cause and begets vicious cycle of misery.
The attack was condemned by Party General Secretary Ali Muhammad Sagar, Provincial President Nasir Aslam Wani, Party MPs Muhammad Akbar Lone, Hasnain Masoodi and Spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar. They also expressed sympathies with the families of killed policemen.

In a statement, JKPCC Chief Spokesperson RavinderSharma has condemned the killing of two police personnel in militant attack in Baghat area and said that the mindless attack has cost two more precious lives of police personnel, which was very anguishing and unfortunate.
Ravinder Sharma also condemned the killing of SPO namely Altaf Ahmad during Berwah encounter leaving another cop injured.
Sharma expressed solidarity with the family of slain police personnel and prayed for their courage to bear this irreparable loss.
