JAMMU, Feb 19: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta today hit out at PDP, NC and Congress leadership for showing J&K in bad light during the visit of foreign envoys to UT.
In a statement issued here, the senior BJP leader said that opposing all the moves of the Government of India for the sake of opposition has become the habit of Valley based political leadership and they have become so insensitive that they can’t even restrain themselves from stooping low when a foreign delegation is in the UT that too for gauging the ground reality. He made it clear that although the statements by Mehbooba, Omar and Mir are quite distasteful but the emissaries have been told what the true picture is and therefore attempts by the aforesaid parties to create false and concocted narrative have been foiled successfully.
Meanwhile, Kavinder also condemned today’s terrorist attack in the Baghat area in Srinagar in which two cops laid down their lives. He said that these attacks were planned by the terror mongers to show their presence while foreign envoys were in UT. He made it clear that the country is now being steered by a strong leadership and such attempts to derail peace process will never succeed and very soon our security forces will tame each and every entity in J&K which is playing a role detrimental to country.
He also condoled with the aggrieved families of the deceased policemen and prayed to almighty for granting peace to the departed souls. Kavinder said that PM, Narendra Modi and HM, Amit Shah are resolute on the issue of again making J&K a paradise on earth and one of the best tourist destinations in the world.
