JAMMU, Apr 21: The displaced community living in Jagti township has expressed utter concern over dearth of faculty in camp schools of the township.
In a statement issued by Sunil Pandita a social activist on behalf of the camp inmates said that despite repeated requests for last couple of years , the Education Department has turned deaf ear to the burning demand regarding shortage of teaching staff in Government Higher Secondary School Camp Jagti, resulting in unexpected harassment to the children attending the School which has no proper teaching staff of various streams.
Pandita said this is a grave issue as going to school is of no fun for the displaced students under such circumstances. He urged the authorities to look into the matter and post the teachers in the School without any delay failing which the township inmates will come to roads.
He said there is shortage of Commerce, Physical Education, Computer Science, Hindi, Sociology and Zoology teachers in HSS. Moreover, the Camp Middle School is also having shortage of Hindi, English teachers as well as general line teachers.
