UDHAMPUR, Apr 21: Udhampur Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered contraband Heroin like narcotic substance from his possession.
The accused, identified as Mohd Hanief, son of Abdul Rashid of Chak Morh, Udhampur, was intercepted by a Police party, led by SHO Rehambal Inspector Nishant Gupta and assisted by IC PP Tikri PSI Abdul Satar under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Udhampur Sahil Mahajan during patrolling near Kali Mata temple, Tikri Udhampur.
On frisking of the accused, Police recovered 15.30 grams of contraband Heroin like narcotic substance following which he was arrested on the spot. In this regard case FIR number 72/2022 under relevant sections of law has been registered in PS Rehambal and investigation was taken up.
