Complete the school building in Wadipora

Even after a period of nearly two decades, a building proposed to house the Girls Middle school in Wadipora of North Kashmir’s Handwara is still incomplete. How many years more are required to have it all complete and to be used by the students is precisely known to none. It may be visualised as to how as many as nine classes can be run just with available four rooms and despite that the authorities concerned feel no necessity to speed up the work on the remaining part of the said school building is unwarranted.
Te results are obvious in that as many as 150 students are suffering and teachers too cannot do justice to their duty and to their satisfaction of the students due to space constraints. How can a building meant for school children be left incomplete midway even not reaching up to the levels of laying of the slab is quite astonishing. Frequent changing of contractors, embezzlement of funds, a vigilance case registered and other mess about the building are other facets of the issue. We, therefore, urge the authorities to look into the matter and have the school building completed, now without any further delay.
