Committees formed for implementation of Scheme for Adolescent Girls

JAMMU, Mar 7: The Government today constituted State/District/Project/Village Level Committees for implementation of Scheme for Adolescent Girls in the State.
The State Level Committee, headed by Administrative Secretary, Health & Medical Education Department, shall ensure effective implementation of the scheme at State level, review, monitor and advice on matters relating to implementation of the scheme and cause the convergence across the stakeholder departments.
Administrative Secretaries of Planning, Labour & Employment, School Education, RDD, Youth Services & Sports Department shall be Members of the State Level Committee while Administrative Secretary Social Welfare Departments will be its Member Secretary.
The District Level Committee, headed by the concerned Deputy Commissioner, shall monitor the utilization of funds and ensure there is no overlapping works in the area. ACD, CEO, District Panchayat Officer, Asstt Labour Commissioner, a Medical Officer (Gyane), two NGOs and five CDPOs shall be members of the District Level Committee, which shall furnish Annual Action Plan and meet quarterly or as and when required.
The Project Level Committee, headed by District Programme Officer, ICDS, shall review the progress of the scheme on regular basis at Project Level and meet monthly while the Village Level Committee, headed by Women Gram Panchayat Member from the village, shall review the progress of scheme on weekly basis at village level.
