JAMMU, July 5: Combine Cricket Club Bhaderwah, KCC Kishtwar, RCC Reasi and Stadium XI Rajouri registered convincing victories over their rivals in the ongoing JKCA Premier Championship, being organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association at various venues in Jammu province.
The Championship is being held under the overall supervision of retired Judge, Jang Bahadur Singh Jmawal and Saham Singh Kalsotra, Members, Committee of Members JKCA.
At Police Lines Rajouri, Stadium XI defeated Sunderbani Cricket Club by a big margin of 86 runs. Batting first, Stadium XI scored a huge total of 282 runs in the stipulated 30 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process. Sajid Khan scored a brilliant century (104) off 66 balls, studded with 4 fours and 10 sixes. Sunderbani XI in reply managed to scored 196 runs to lose the match by 86 runs. Sajid Khan was adjudged as the man of the match for his magnificent hundred.
At Sports Stadium Reasi, RCC Reasi defeated TCC Thampal by 5 wickets. Batting first, TCC Thampal scored a modest total of 112 runs in 25.3 overs, while in reply, RCC Reasi chased the target in 21.4 overs by losing 5 wickets. Shivam Sharma was declared as the man of the match for his all-round show as he scored unbeaten 31 runs and took 2 important wickets.
At Chowgan Ground Kishtwar, KCC Kishtwar thrashed Hamdan Cricket Club by 51 runs in an easy contest. KCC scored 162 runs in 20 overs, while Hamdan Cricket Club managed to score 11 runs in 20 overs by losing 8 wickets, thus lostthe match by 51 runs.
At Degree College Bhaderwah, Combine Cricket Club Bhaderwah defeated Bhaderwah Sports Club by 99 runs in a one-sided affair. Batting first, Combine Cricket Club scored 184 runs. Abrar scored a quick-fire century, hitting 136 runs off 70 balls, studded with 11 fours and 12 sixes.
In reply, Bhaderwah Sports Club bundled out for a paltry total of 85 runs in 12 overs. Imran and Naveed took 3 wickets each for Combine Cricket Club.
