Coalition creating problems for new Govt: Chaman

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, Aug 2: Accusing the Coalition Government of trying to create problems for the coming dispensation after the elections, the former Union Minister and MLA, Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta said that some new announcements and measures are being taken in a hurry so as to divert the attention of the people from the real problems caused due to misgovernance and failure to keep up the last election promises.
Interacting with the activists of his Jammu West Assembly Constituency, Prof. Gupta said that the failure of the coalition is very much glaring to the extent that chaotic conditions have been created all around.  There is crisis of electricity, drinking water and poor sanitation causing inconvenience to the masses but instead of taking remedial measures the highly controversial and misleading announcements are being made to hoodwink the public opinion.
In this regard, he pointed out the creation of 569 new administrative units, opening of 5 new medical colleges etc. He wondered that where from the funds for these new costly schemes will come. He said at least Rs. 2000 crores are required for infrastructure for the administrative units where as the conditions are already far from satisfactory for the existing administrative units. Moreover it would add big expenditure for the salary of the employees of new units, he added.
Similarly 5 new medical colleges would require large sums for their raising where as the conditions of the already existing Government Medical Colleges is far from satisfactory. The other health Institutions of the State are in a most bad shape to the extent that large number of health centers are in hired buildings, he added.
