CM, Hooda call on Governor

JAMMU, Nov 8: During an hour long meeting at the Raj Bhavan today afternoon, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti briefed Governor N N Vohra about the status of various important matters, including the security situation in the Valley, the continuing ceas fire violations across the IB and LoC and the steps underway for the re-invigoration of the entire educational system.
Meanwhile, Lt Gen. D S Hooda, Northern Army Commander, called on Governor N N Vohra.
Besides reviewing the obtaining security situation, Vohra and Lt Gen Hooda discussed various matters related to effective border management and strict enforcement of the counter infiltration and counter terrorism grids.
They also discussed issues pertaining to the safety and security of the residents of villages located along the IB and LoC.
Considering the time lost this summer, the Governor urged sustained sharp focus on the implementation of development projects and the administrative apparatus working over time.
