Cluster University organizes seminar on ‘Career Counselling & Placements’

JAMMU, June 23: Directorate of Placement Cell, Cluster University of Jammu, in collaboration with Kartavya Institute Jammu and Career Counselling Cell of GGM Science College, Jammu, organized one day seminar cum interactive session for semester 6th students.
Dr Naveen Anand, Dean Academic Affairs, Cluster University of Jammu, was chief guest and Prof Rajesh Gupta, Principal GGM Science College Jammu, was the guest of honour.
Purpose of the event was to aware semester 6th students regarding their career counselling and placements.
The programme was initiated with welcome address by Prof D S Manhas, Director Placement, Cluster University of Jammu. He briefed the students about the job opportunities and the campus placement drives.
Dr Naveen Anand, Dean Academic Affairs CLUJ, also addressed the students. He gave them information about the induction in the Corporate Sector and also suggested the name of few of the companies which are ready to accept the undergraduates with the heavy package.
The Resource Person, Dinesh Choudhary delivered a very thought provoking and informative lecture initially and thereby making it an interactive one. His lecture concluded with the information about the various competitive tests, schemes and the techniques required to crack competitive examinations. He also elaborated about growing demand of corporate sector. He interacted with the students regarding their future plans and advised them to appear in various competitive examinations, various start-up schemes, skill development courses and placements in corporate sector.
In the last, Resource Persons replied to various queries raised by the students in a very positive manner. More than 100 students attended the session enthusiastically. The event was organised by Prof Shrdha Anand and Prof Asha Sharmhal and anchored by Rahil, student of semester 6th.
