JAMMU, June 17: Crime Branch Jammu has unearthed a scam and registered a case against Mohd Zubiar, a Clerk in Civil Secretariat, for dumping people on the pretext of managing jobs.
During the preliminary verification into the complaint, it came to the fore that Mohammad Zubair, son of Abdullah, a resident of Thannamandi Rajouri allured the complainant and demanded Rs 4.50 lakh for arranging a Government job for the wife of the complainant.
The complainant paid an amount of Rs 3.50 lakh, which were misappropriated by the accused. As the omissions and commissions on the part of Mohammad Zubair prima facie constitute offences punishable under Section 420,406 RPC, the Crime Branch has registered a formal case against the accused.
