Clerical staff observes pen down strike for removal of pay anomaly

JAMMU, Dec 8: On the call given by Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh All Departments Clerical Staff Association, a pen down strike was observed in all the Government Offices, PSUs and semi Government sectors across all the district headquarters of Jammu Division
The Association president Babu Hussain Malik had given the call                    to lodge protest against the State Government for its failure in implementing agreement of removing the pay anomalies of the clerical cadre.  Besides suspending work, the protesting employees of the clerical cadre also held protest demonstrations to highlight their demand.
In Jammu,  the strike was led by  Babu Hussain Malik, who was joined by Bharat Bushan, Khurshid Ahmad Dewani, Ashok Singh, Javed Akhoon,  Yash Paul Sharma, Meenakshi Sharma, Jaswant Singh, Ansuya Gupta, Seva Ram Rathore, Munish Sharma, Vishwa Bandhu, Farida Bano, Vikas Chander, Mohd Lateef, Vikas Sharma, Mukhtyar Singh, Bharat Bushan Kotwal, Mohd Sadiq, Arun Sharma, Lekh Raj, Naresh Sharma, Om Prakash, Kapil Gupta, Uday Singh Pathania, Sandeep Singh, Shamsher Singh, Ranbir Singh, Darshan Angurana, Sham Lal, Sudershan Singh, Ali Mohd, Mangal Singh, Rafiq Mohd, Mohd, Yaqoob Bhat, Feezo Jawahar Bashir, Vipan Bangroo, Mohan Lal, Sanjeev Singh Jamwal and  others.
At other district headquarters, the strike in Doda was successfully led by  Mohd Issac and  in Kishtwar,  led by  Mansoor Ahmad.
In  Rajouri, the strike was led by Babu Ram whereas in  Reasi, it was led by Rajesh Ajnabi, in Kathua,  led by Kuldeep Kumar, in Poonch,  led by Ravinder Singh, in Samba led by Balwan Singh, in Ramban led by Mohd Aslam Parray, in Udhampur,  led by Ashok Vir Singh, in Leh,  led by Tashi Choswal and in Kargil,  led by Mukhtiar Khan.
The protesting employees were also demanding DPC in all the departments after every six months and reorganization of the clerical cadre outside the Civil  Secretariat on the pattern of Civil Secretariat,  implementation of the 7th Pay Commission on the pattern of Central Government in the state and  increase of Medical Allowance from Rs  300/- per month to Rs  2000/- per month.
