Army inaugurates first Children’s Park at Shopian

SRINAGAR, Dec 8: In addition to the regular assistance provided for the upliftment and social reintegration of the children of Bal Ashram, Army installed swings and slides for a newly established Children’s Park at Bal Ashram in Pinzur area of Shopian district.
A defence spokesman said the children of Pinzur have been sincerely giving their best efforts for learning and aiming high for a respectable life amongst the harsh conditions existing in valley.  The opening of the Children’s park will surely lift up the morale of the budding youth.
The Children Park was inaugurated by Brigadier K Venugopal, who is Commander, Rashtriya Rifles, in the presence of civil dignitaries from Shopian district. The defence spokesman said during the inauguration of Children’s Park and sharing the joy and happiness with the children of the Bal Ashram, Commanding Officer encouraged the children to excel in all the phases of life and also promised to provide full hearted assistance to them and the Bal Ashram in all spheres.
The children were very pleased by this honored gesture of the Army and expressed their will to do well in life and contribute towards the progress of the nation, said the spokesman, adding that local populace especially students, Panchs and Sarpanchs, village elders and staff of Bal Ashram Pinzur appreciated the efforts taken by the Army.
