JAIPUR, Apr 7: Fine bone-china and ceramic tableware maker Clay Craft India has acquired Jaipur Ceramics Pvt Ltd (JPCL) brand and plans to double its distributor and retailer network.
The acquisition of JCPL’s brand will see a parallel branding of both JCPL and Clay Craft products in the market, a company official said here.
“We will run JPCL brand parallel to our existing brands. The supply of the additional market demand will be initially fulfilled our existing facility initially and the group has also planned to set up one plant at an investment of Rs 100 crore by the year-end,” Bharat Agrawal, director, Clay Craft India, said today.
He said with the acquisition, the company’s network and turn over would be doubled.
“The company will be manufacturing trendy and new design tableware and also theme based products. The new plant we are planning to set up with an estimated cost of Rs 100 crore will general employments for nearly 700 people and local people would be given priority,” he said.
Clay Craft’s pan-Indian network comprises nearly 10,000 retail counters and over 150 channel partners. (PTI)
