SRINAGAR, June 14: G. R. Sufi, State Chief Information Commissioner, called on N. N. Vohra, Governor, at Raj Bhavan here today.
Mr. Sufi briefed the Governor about the functioning of the State Right to Information Act 2009 and the continuing initiatives being taken by him and members of SIC for enhancing awareness among the people at large about their rights and privileges under this law.
The Governor appreciated the efforts being made and observed that the effective implementation of this important Statute would contribute significantly to enhancing the interests of good governance.
