JAMMU, Aug 22: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate from Jammu East for the forthcoming Assembly elections, Bharat Choudhary, today assailed political parties for polarizing the society by raking up frivolous issues ahead of the 2014 Assembly elections and asked them to desist from such evil acts.
Addressing a gathering at Kanji House in a function organized by senior PDP leaders, Rafiq Malik and Manju Sharma, Choudhary said political parties should remember that their tactics will not succeed in a State like J&K that has always rejected the disruptive and communal forces.
Recalling the glorious role played by Mufti Mohd Sayeed in binding the people of different faiths and regions together during his tenure as CM, Choudhary urged the people to remain vigilant against the machinations of the parties, whose main agenda is to polarize the situation and benefit from division in the society.
Among the PDP leaders, Ashok Jogi, Ram Sarup, Chander Shekhar, Chaman Angral and Asif were present on the occasion.
