Child injured in Pak shelling

JAMMU, May 4: A child was injured in Pakistan shelling at forward village of Bigial Dara in Poonch sector last night.
Reports said Pakistan army violated ceasefire and resorted to mortar shelling and firing on defence locations and civilian areas at Bigial Dass last night. The Indian Army effectively retaliated, leading to exchanges that continued for about an hour.

A mortar shells exploded close to the house of Nazir Din in which his minor son Sagir Hussain was injured. He was evacuated from the site of firing and admitted to the hospital. His condition is stated to be stable.
Ceasefire violations by the Pakistan army on Line of Control (LoC) in twin border districts of Poonch and Rajouri have almost become a routine affair.
