KISHTWAR, June 5: A 9 year old student fell into mighty Chenab River while returning from his school in Dool area here this evening and was reportedly untraced by the rescue workers till last reports.
The minor Abdul Razak, son of Zakir Hussain, resident of Kawad, Tenji was accompanied by his brother from school and he suddenly fell into the Chenab near Cheerji Bridge.
Few hours after the child fell into the river, rescue operation was started by SDRF and Red Cross with the help of locals and searches were conducted in the Chenab but due to heavy rain and darkness the missing child could not be traced and the rescue operation was stopped and it will be continued in the morning.
