Cheater arrested with six cars worth crores

JAMMU, Feb 8: Police arrested a cheater along with six cars valuing around Rs 1.25 crores.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by Mohammad Ishaq Bhatt, owner of Car Sale Purchase firm namely Car Fever/Valley Cars, Uzair Khan and Farooq Ahmed Wani, residents of Kashmir regarding cheating by some persons in sale and purchase of newly cars.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 40/2021 under Sections 420 and 406 IPC was registered at Police Station Domana and investigation started.
During the course of investigation, several teams were constituted by SDPO Domana Kosheen Koul.
A team led by Incharge Police Post Pouni Chack Inspector Mukhtiyar Ali raided various locations in Jammu city like Peer Mitha, Channi Himmat, Gol Gujaral and many other places and recovered 6 newly purchased vehicles valuing around Rs 1.25 crores out of 8 vehicles and arrested the accused namely Gurpreet Singh, son of Baljeet Singh of Camp Gol Gujaral Pouni Chak District Jammu.
The investigation is in the preliminary stages and further recovery of more vehicles and arrest of more persons is expected in near future.
The whole recovery and supervision took place under the supervision of SP Rural Sanjay Sharma and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil.
